Petit Vour Subscription Box

Tuesday, July 8, 2014

I was contacted by Petit Vour, a monthly subscription beauty box service that offers vegan and cruelty free beauty products. I jumped at the opportunity when they offered to send their June beauty box.

A little about Petit Vour from the website: "We strive to enhance these elements for you and help make it easier in maintaining a compassionate lifestyle. Every aspect of our beauty box is thought out and constructed to provide you with the highest standards. To us, that means no animal testing, animal products, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, sulfates, and so much more." The treasures in the box included: EVOLVh Ultrashine Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, MUN No. 1 Aknari Brightening Youth Serum, NCLA Nail Lacquer, and  TAY Rosehip Balancing Cleanser with  Seabuckthorn.

EVOLVh Ultrashine Moisture Shampoo Description: "Made with squeaky-clean ingredients, this niche shampoo is beloved by discerning stylists and beauty devotees alike. UltraShine creates smooth, shiny, lustrous hair while adding herbal nutrients, seaweeds, fruits and botanicals for hair nourishment."
My Thoughts: The sample size is perfect for travel and just enough for multiple uses. I enjoyed using the shampoo at night, it was relaxing with sweet smell of sweet clover, apricot, passion fruit and much more. It was like washing the stress of the day away. It did not weigh my hair down and left it soft. I do wish it reduced my frizz a little more, but over all a great shampoo with a lovely botanical scent.
Ingredients: Atmospheric Water, pHytoBlend (proprietary concentrate blend of 20 herbs in an aqueous base), decyl glucose, disodium sulfosuccinate, cocamidopropyl betaine, lauryl glucose, coco polyglucose, seaweed extract, citrus aurantifolia, mango, lecithin, sunflower oil, soya, safflower oil, wheat amino acids, vitamin C, wild pansy, sweet clover, apricot, nasturium, nectarine, passion flower, citrus seed extract
Price: $24.00

EVOLVh Ultrashine Moisture Conditioner Description: "Repair and restore, reduce frizz and increase color retention. This formula is versatile enough to tame a spectrum of hair types, from straight to curly, and fine to super thick."
My Thoughts: The conditioner left my hair soft and tangle free, and like the shampoo the scent was wonderful! Due to the sample, I did not see much repair and restore of my hair. I am happy to have sampled this brand and look forward to their other scents.
Ingredients: Water, pHytoBlend (proprietary concentrate blend of 20 herbs in an aqueous base) stearylkonium chloride, glyceryl monostearate, palm oil, mango, lecithin, sunflower oil, soya, safflower oil, wheat amino acids, vitamin C, wild pansy, sweet clover, apricot, nasturtium, nectarine, passion flower, citrus seed extract
Price: $25.00

MUN No. 1 Aknari Brightening Youth Serum Description: "Perfectly silky and quick absorbing. In 2-3 weeks, see dramatic improvement in skin- disappearing of fine lines and spots, plus increased suppleness. Feel soft, pampered and pleasured with your new aromatic oil ritual. "
My Thoughts: The serum glided on nicely and absorbed quickly into the skin. The sample was just enough for about six uses depending how much product was used. I did not see dramatic result due to the product being a sample. My only down fall was the scent of the serum, not sure if the oils clashed but it had a strong spicy scent. The scent did fade after a few minutes and my skin was left soft.
Ingredients: opuntia ficus-indica (prickly pear) seed oil*, argania spinosa (argan) kernel oil*, rosa damascene (rose) flower essential oil *Certified Organic
Price: $95.00

NCLA Nail Lacquer Description: "Dreamed up and concocted in sunny Los Angeles, NCLA is the ultimate fashion statement for your nails. 5-free, high shine, chip resistant, quick to dry with fun and original color choices, it’s no wonder NCLA makes the cut."
My Thoughts: I love getting full size products in subscription boxes especially when the product is used frequently. The nail polish color I received was "Let's Stay Forever." It's a fun pale blue color that is great for summer. I did have to apply the color four times in order to get even coverage. The color was a little streaky when first applied but overall a great color that did not chip.
Ingredients: No Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor.
Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Trimethyl Pentanyl Diisobutyrate, Nitrocellulose, Triphenyl Phosphate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Diacetone Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Citric Acid, Benzophenone-1, SD Alcohol 40-B (Alcohol Denat.), Acrylates Copolymer, Silica May Contain (+/-): Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Oxides (CI 77499), Blue 1 (CI 42090), Aluminum Powder (CI 77000), Red 34 (CI 15880), Red 6 (CI 15850), Red 7 (CI 15850), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Iron Oxides (CI 77491), Violet 2 (CI 60725), Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Polyethylene Terephthalate, Isobutylphenoxy Epoxy Resin

TAY Rosehip Balancing Cleanser with Seabuckthorn Description: "The forecast is clear! Get covetable skin naturally with this new good-for-you cleanser from TAY. Pore-cleansing and rich with antioxidants, our Rosehip Cleanser is bound to be your go-to for easy, breezy, clear skin."
My Thoughts: This product was the first thing that caught my eye in the box. The product is housed in a beautiful bamboo jar with the brand name carved on it. It's very fancy! The cleanser was creamy and only a small amount is needed. My sample will last quite awhile, a little goes a long way. My face did not feel dry or tight which is a bonus because most cleansers I've used tend to do that. My skin feels soft and supple. I look forward to the end results, so far I'm enjoying this product.
